Exploring Abandoned Mines
Канада
Добавлен 29 ноя 2015
We explore abandoned mines in Canada the United States and Mexico. Join us for our weekly adventures as we go deep underground. All about mining, mine exploration, into historic abandoned hard rock Gold, Silver and Copper mines. We relive the Prospecting, Gold Rush days, going back in history with every expedition. Visiting abandoned and forgotten places, climbing down mine shafts into dangerous mines, finding treasures, seeing antique heavy equipment such as ore carts, locomotives, crushers, milling machines, ball mills, explosives and other mining equipment.
We recently bought a Gold Mine and have a museum. We will be offering underground tours in 2022. We have operating mining equipment on display. We save and restore mining artifacts for future generations. Visit us at exploringabandonedmines.com

#30 120 year old train under Phoenix!
We find a train parked under the mines at Phoenix. 10 cars in all! They were parked there soon after the Granby cars were invented and manufactured in Phoenix. The Granby cars were self unloading cars made of steel and pulled by electric trains way back in 1906.

Good morning from Southeast South Dakota Frank and Sharon
Under Phoenix? AZ ? I don't think so. The whole state is not Phoenix. In fact, none of this looks like phoenix. Love your channel but I was really interested and now I wonder if your other videos are true.
🤦♂️🤣 umm phoenix is a mine! And or a complex of mines above the 49th forget exact details at the moment🤷♂️ sorry to be the one to tell ya! Franks a straight shooter 👍 use them Ears👂 👌 can learn a lot from Franks vids Have nice day mate 😀
Phoenix is a ghost town in BC Canada
@@NoBody-qo9rh see that nobody we both wrong 🤦♂️🤣 told I ya I couldn’t recall hahaha !!!
@@exploringabandonedmines thanks Frank I needed that timely backhand!!! 😆 ✌️ 🤙
Mr Frank and Sharon are you still mining
We explore and restore mines but I have never mined.
Cool! Oh and Love the music BTW
THANKS FOR VIDEO!
23:43
Such a cool mine!
Some folks used to work these shovels with compressed air. Cool find.
😀
Hi Frank and Sharon...take care
Super 😎😎love the "artifacts" as always Rock On! 💯💯 Hi Sharon!🎆🎆
Rock on!
Thanks, Frank! See ya next week.
You bet!
6:54 wow
Ain’t no ice in this Phoenix!
Love the tour.
Hi Frank
The Thew Automatic Shovel Company, Lorain Ohio. I went to Lorain County Community College in the early 70's. By then that company was sold off and soon to be gone.
Grand Forks BC here, 52 years old, been all over these mountains. Great video.
Very cool!
After hearing that barking spider it's no longer the sulphides that smell, the ice should be gone in no time,as if it had legs😅
"Stay Tuned" OR "Stay Stoned" which did yo usay?? 😆🤣
Tuned in not tuned out!
Wow… That was a wickexd awesome cool mine!
Hi Frank and Sharon!
Hi Frank I’m from the UK 🇬🇧 and your channel is one of my favourites - along with Gly of course…and Tom and Julie. I know I’m retired - so maybe my memory is slipping 😂 …and absolutely great 👍 👍👍 that you’ve just posted this explore adventure on YT (i’m going to watch it all after posting this comment) but I thought I heard you say some time ago 🤔 that you were going to stop any further mine exploring and just concentrate on Yankee Boy Mine?
Yes we are busy building a tram at the Yankee Boy now. This is an old video.
Great video friend thanks again 😊. From Scotland
Just got done watching “ hell on wheels”. The amount of labor it took to dig these mines is ABSOLUTELY MIND BOGGLING!!!!!!!
Hey frank, hows sharon.Frank have you evr witness an old Dynamite explosion.
It blows up just like new dynamite 🧨 nothing spectacular like fireworks or anything 😳🤷♂️😝✌️
We set off 100 year old dynamite in one of our old intros in the Monarch mine.
@@exploringabandonedmines no fireworks display or time tunnel experience? 🤷♂️😝
That was awesome getting to see more of that mine
I know I asked before but do you think you will ever go back to see if more ice has melted?
We went last year and the ice palace has completely melted! There was ice in other areas though.
@@exploringabandonedmines Well that's cool did you get video did I miss it? Lol
Low and slow, cray z CraWl!
Great find. I wish I understood the nature of the ice palace. That really surprised me. What an amazing network of mines
I know, right?
cool mine!
lol, 23.03- barking spiders! Clear the air! lol, Frank
Seems like only day before yesterday, as always, thanks, Frank! Hope things are going well for you up at your place! Take care, see ya next Friday. I keep forgetting I can think words onto the screen, I need to type them, lol.
Yes, thanks
Scary mine.
Great Video ⛏️
Even if this video is old, still love the repeat, so cool to see again.
Glacier mine adventure sounds great right about now! Happy Summer from West Coast USA. 💛😄👍
That’s an extremely well written video introduction.
I’m in Uk 🇬🇧 but imo the BLM are just “xxxxxx” - their bat barring of mines is not about Bats 🦇; it’s just about treating adults like children. We can climb mountains, walk along sheer cliff face paths, drive cars on busy roads, ride motorcycles, etc. It’s up to us to make informed wise decisions about what risks to take.
LOL @ 8:31 I saw my name painted on the wall. not something i ever did in caves but mines aren't natural. that mine is awesome!
L
Why would go down without any communication device? Do they not work that deep? Kinda whack dude.
Radios work 200 feet down max.
Narrator: I could not understand your accent what the heck you were saying when the video started. Where are you from? Nice video!
Canada
Your Camera is not as good as gly and Laura on their channel
True ...but the content is more interesting! This was an episode from our first season 8 years ago. We have much better cameras in later episodes.
This was a fun trip! Cute girls in caves for the win!
Curious who manufactured the old dynamite, and what are the dimensions? I see dynamite is typically 8" long but what is the standard diameter for a stick?
Giant and Polar made most of the Canadian dynamite they were taken over by CXL and later CIL. Inch and inch and a half are common sizes.
@@exploringabandonedmines Didn't realize the company that makes my boat flares makes dynamite haha. Between inch and inch and a half, is one more common than the other? In other words, what are the dimensions of the "quintessential" stick of dynamite?
One cool mine, i swear that i've seen this before, a year ago or more, not sure.
It was filmed in 2015
Interesting, thanks.
Amazing! thanks for video!
Glad you liked it!
